Considerations: Please remember that you must deal with the readings we have done over the past two weeks. In particular:

1) "The End of History?" by Francis Fukuyama.
2) The information on Mike Hawash.
3) The information on the "Patriot Act."
4) "'The Greatest Endorser of the Twentieth Century' or 'An Insidious Form of Imperialism'?" from Walter LaFeber's Michael Jordan and the New Global Capitalism.
5) "How to Wage the Peace," and "Why America Scares the World" by Fareed Zakaria.

Your essay may be written outside of class, or you may write it in class with notes, an outline, and/or the readings themselves. Whatever the case, your essay is due at the end of class on Friday, May 2. NO LATE PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
