In Comparisons in Black and White, the Mirrored Communities program uses visual displays to illustrate the clear distiction between Black and White public housing in the Hampton Roads area. Specifically, we use floor plans, photographs, census data, and economic charts to show the lines of demarcation that the federal government helped draw between the races in the Tidewater region.
